Who’s New in Madison, Inc. was organized in 1935 to help new residents of Madison become acquainted with their new community. The club’s charm is bringing women of many backgrounds and work experiences together for fellowship, promoting lasting friendships. Anyone who has moved to Madison or surrounding communities in the past two years is eligible to join. However, every September, January and May is amnesty, or open enrollment months, and membership is open to those who have lived here longer than two years.
From September through May, the greater Madison area provides a setting for monthly luncheons and events for members. Prospective members can attend two Who's New events or interest group meetings before joining.
The club offers a variety of interest groups for members. Several couple's activities are offered for members with a spouse or guest. We offer hiking, biking, card games, book clubs, social clubs, anything is possible. See Our Interest Groups page for a complete listing.
The club gives back to the community each year by picking an organization to sponsor for the year. Proceeds from our Hike Around the Lake, Holiday Bazaar and Spring Auction benefit this Service Project.
We have approximately 500 members.
Annual dues are $20. Members receive a monthly electronic newsletter and an annual membership directory.
Members of Who’s New may not use the membership directory or email distribution lists for promotional purposes or soliciting of any kind. No soliciting at any Who’s New in Madison events or interest groups is permitted.
